Welcome back campers

Welcome back campers 〰️

UXCamp is Melbourne (and Australia's) only community based unconference event for UX and design professionals and enthusiasts.

We follow the Bar Camp format, a low-cost, collaborative event, where attendees (yes, you!) of all levels are encouraged to prepare either a talk, a case study, a book review, a workshop idea or a group discussion.

Anyone can pitch and the agenda is made after attendees vote on the day.

20+ sessions will take place, with up to 4 sessions taking place concurrently in break out rooms. Ultimately, the day's format and speakers will depend on who comes, what you pitch and what you decide.

We can't wait to see new and returning faces as we discover together what's new, trending and of interest to our community. Bring your rough ideas, your polished talks, and your open mind. The only real requirement is a passion for all things design.

I don’t need a seat at the table

For as long as we can remember, we’ve convinced ourselves that design impact means hustling for a seat at the table. What if…we’re wrong?

Elaine will challenge the conventional belief that a seat at the table is required for impact, but perhaps that’s the bias of an extrovert. We will explore how real progress happens, recognise the value you bring, and the quiet strength in simply doing the work that truly matters.

You can create meaningful change, no matter where you sit, your title or your decibels.

Elaine is a Design Manager at SEEK and we can’t wait to hear this insightful talk.

UXCamp Naarm | Melbourne is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People. We are inspired by their generational story-telling and connections to land, sea and community.

We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present.
